GuitarCrash.net was purchased and opened in June 2005 with the sole purpose of being a personal/blog site. It was originally registered at GoDaddy.com when they had a $6.99 deal on .net domains. After a while, I looked for a cheaper registrar that would not charge me extra to have my domain listed privately. And I found 1and1.com for domains at $6 and free private registration. I created this site using Dreamweaver, and I choose nothing else. I use Photoshop and Image Ready for all my images and graphics. I also create this site to be viewable on a 1024*768 resolution with Mozilla Firefox. Generally it should work in most other browsers.
Everything on this site is strictly my own unless otherwise stated. If you want to know how I did something, please do not steal. All you have to do is ask. It's just that simple. Please do not direct link my link buttons either. Download them and upload them to your own server. There's also good free servers like Photobucket, Image Shack and Tiny Pic.
I remember the days when Angelfire, Tripod and Geocities were popular and ad free! I had my very first site on each of those free servers. It was a Backstreet Boys fansite/humor site. When finally the thing was to get "hosted", I applied for hosting at Rachel's in-your-eyes.org and was hosted there for a little while longer until I closed the site. My dad purchased my first domain for me from (?), which was weird-stranger.com. After that expired, I didn't renew it and purchased my second domain which was digital-overload.org. It was originally going to be a multimedia site, but it ended up being a personal site. After that expired I purchased loud-silence.org and fakesmile.com. I wasn't at them for very long, and then I purchased guitarcrash.net in the summer of 2005 (June 1, to be exact). The name ever since has had just a personal sparkle to it and I've had it up until the present time (obviously).
The name "guitar crash" was quite a simple process, actually. See, I have a fetish for guitars. So there's the first word. And one day I was listening to music while I was on my way to school, and they said the word "crash" several times in the song. So then I started saying to myself, "guitar crash". I said it a few times, and I really liked it. I made a little note for myself and purchased it a couple days later.
